Rodolphe el-Khoury is partner in the design firm Khoury Levit Fong. He is the author of numerous critically acclaimed books in architectural history and theory and a regular contributor to professional and academic journals. His books include, Monolithic Architecture, Architecture: in Fashion, Shaping the City; Studies in History, Theory and Urban Design, and See Through Ledoux, Architecture, Theatre, and the Pursuit of Transparency. el-Khoury is particularly interested in architectural applications for advanced information technology aiming for enhanced responsiveness and sustainability in the built environment. el-Khoury believes that new digital media and information technologies are transforming the nature and practice of architecture and urban design. In his research program, he is using Toronto as a design laboratory to learn how new technologies can create multi-sensory effects that re-invent the city.
